Jennifer Aniston never has a bad hair day. In 2008, she shows off hair that is thicker than ever and colored with golden highlights (reminds one of the highlights from her wedding).
Want this look but wonder why you can't get it? Aniston's look is best for thick hair. If you have thin hair, you'll need a lot of product and a few layers cut in to get any semblance of fullness with hair this long.
If you have thick, coarse hair, consider straightening it with an ionic iron, and add shine with weekly deep moisturizing treatments. Rub a silicone product in hand and palm over hair to tamp down any frizz.
Taylor Momsen Hair Style- - Edgy, Funky
Taylor Momsen got all edgy and funky on us in 2008. Here, we see her funky, edgy hairstyle. This look is excellent for limp, fine hair and requires a lot of razoring.
Rihanna Hair Style
Rihanna jumped on the short hair bandwagon this year and hasn't looked back. Here's one of my favorite Rihanna hairstyles.
Reese Witherspoon Hair Style- - Sweet, Sophisticated Curls
Reese cut her long locks chin-length in 2008, then started to grow out her hair. Here, we see Reese Witherspoon's hair in a sophisticated curl. Cutting hair shorter will add body to limp hair, and the curl adds even more. Here, Reese's hair has been cut to just above her shoulders. Get this look with hot or Velcro rollers, then brush out the curl so it becomes a wave. Follow with a spritz of gloss and set with a bit of hairspray.
Padma Lakshmi Hair Style- - Sultry, Yet Sophisticated
Padma Lakshmi is not famous for her hair, she's more famous for her classic face and long, lean body. But I love her hair. She has long, sultry locks and pulls off a sexy look even when her hair is pulled back in a bun.
To get the bun, let hair airdry. Most hair has some natural curl in it. Brush hair back with fingers and pull into a messy bun at the nape of your neck. For the 2nd look, wind dry hair around the barrel of a curling iron.
Mila Kunis Hair Style- - Long, Sexy Waves
This is the beachy look that didn't go out of style in 2008, as modeled by Mila Kunis. The beachy look is now a classic hairstyle, not a trend.
Keri Russell's New Short Hair Style- - Keri Russell Hair
We love Keri Russell's new shorn locks. Here, Keri Russell's natural ringlets are blown out and worked into big, thick curls. To get this look: Blow out hair as straight as possible, then wind curls around the barrel of a curling iron. You'll want to switch directions so the curl looks natural. Wind some up, some down.
Katie Holmes Bob - - Best Celebrity HairWhen Katie Holmes cut her long hair into this bob, the fashion world went crazy. This is my favorite version of Katie Holmes's bob, which she showed off at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in May, 2008. She kept her hair in a bob throughout 2008, but this cut is my favorite of all the styles she's sported.
To get this look, "ask that it be slightly shorter in the back with very subtle layering throughout," says stylist Chris McMillan in the August 2008 issue of Allure Magazine.According to McMillan, this is a cut that works best on straight hair. "It should also have bangs that are completely blunt and straight an cut just above the eyebrow." If you have a slightly round face, ask for longer, sideswept bangs, he advises.
Gwyneth Paltrow Hair Style
Gwyneth parts the hair in the middle and the cut is at an angle -- a tad shorter in back than in front. According to the August 2008 issue of Allure Magazine, which features Gwyneth's bob, this look can be a tad boring if cut too blunt. Stacked layers in the back will "give it some life," says Allure.
Beyonce Hair Style- - Long, Silky, Sun-kissed
Beyonce's hair is always long, but here is one of my favorites from this year. It's not sprayed and teased to high heaven, instead, Beyonce's hair is long and sun-kissed. I guarantee you this is not Beyonce's real hair. It's a weave. To get this look, you'll need to head over to a professional who can weave in fabulous, expensive real hair. If you are blessed with your own straight thick locks, then get this look with a flatiron.
