Kristen Stewart plays a 16-year-old stripping hooker for her role in her new movie, “Welcome To The Rileys.” And what you may not have known was that Kristen actually took lessons from a stripper in a real dingy rundown strip club for the role.

She said, “I did some pole dancing. I got bruises all over my legs. I tore myself up doing it. It sucked. The more I saw it, the more I wanted it. It was like a weird self-hating kind of thing. The cool thing about my character is she is not sultry and she is not sexy.”

The movie’s director, Jake Scott, insisted she train on a pole with a real stripper, to learn the ropes. She was insanely nervous, even though the shooting was closed off to a very select few people.

He added, “She was terrified. The strip club we shot in was really a club, and it really was that dirty an really that tough. But she killed it.”

I can’t wait to see Kristen acting in something that doesn’t involve sparkles or vampires, or sparkly vampires.
