PriyamaniShe is better known as the hot actress of film ‘Drona’ who donned bikini and dazed many down south. A national award winner Tamil actress and Vidya Balan’s cousin, Priyamani will soon make her Bollywood debut with Mani Ratnam’s movie Raavan.

The sultry actress gets to play a important character of Raavan’s sister Soorpanakha. A source revealed that, “Mani’s production team initially approached the South top actress Nayantara for the role of Soorpanakha but she refused.”

In fact, many top Bollywood actresses were approached for the role of Raavan’ sister, whose nose and ears were severed by Laxman, but all refused because no one seem interested to play Abhishek Bachchan’s (Raavan) sister, as per sources.

Priyamani will play Soorpanakha in both Tamil and Hindi versions, just like Aishwarya Rai is playing Sita in both the versions.


Priyamani wants to go to Bollywood


After Asin, Genelia D'Souza, Shriya Saran and Trisha, yet another south Indian actress is entering the Hindu film world albeit in an indirect way. Priyamani would be essaying a role in the Hindi version of Mani Ratnam's Tamil film "Ravanan".

She would be portraying the same role in the Hindi version and the National Award-winning actress is mighty excited about the significance of her character in the film.

The actress, who has worked in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films, won the National Award for best actress for her performance in Tamil film "Paruthiveeran".
