Brooke MuellerBrooke Mueller has done so well in a private Los Angeles rehab facility that her counselors have allowed her to go home with a team of experts, her lawyer tells PEOPLE exclusively.

"Brooke's recovery efforts have been superb," says attorney Yale Galanter. "She has been able to interact with her twin sons Bob and Max which has been instrumental in her recovery and ability to take the rehab team home with her. She is thrilled to be back in her own house."

Mueller, 32, had checked into a private rehab center and stayed for several days following what Galanter called "a major breach of security" at The Canyon, resulting in details of her stay being revealed.

Muller has been fighting domestic problems with husband Charlie Sheen since Christmas day, when the couple got into a fight that resulted in the Two and a Half Men star's arrest on domestic violence charges.

Sheen, 44, entered rehab in Los Angeles last week, according to his rep.

At the same time, Mueller got along well enough to come home because she responded better to the private treatment where no other patients were around.

Even though Sheen's parents, Martin and Janet Sheen, have been a tremendous help in taking care of 11-month-old Bob and Max – and Mueller's parents, Moira and Jon Fiore, will fly in from Palm Beach to help this week – none of the grandparents is living in the Sheen home.

In addition to the rehab team, the children's regular nanny and a housekeeper are also assisting Mueller.

"Brooke did much better in rehab under a confidential setting," Galanter tells PEOPLE. "Her interaction with the children has been great and her overall recovery is very good. Being with the kids has been amazing for her. And now that they are in their own home, Brooke intends to be the best mother possible."
