That Heather Mills, eh? Always giving. Except this time, it's her doing the taking as her friend gives her a lift for a little dip in the sea off Mauritius.

But it looks as though the sea was a little nippy, as Heather isn't quite brave enough to fully immerse herself and is soon hitching a lift out again.

Still, it beats Dancing On ice.

Sir Paul McCartney's ex-wife was no doubt enjoying the Indian Ocean - considerably warmer than the English channel not far from her East Sussex home at this time of year.

Since being voted off Dancing On Ice a few weeks ago, Mills has been keeping herself busy raising money to send limbs to recent amputees in earthquake-ravaged Haiti.

Writing on her Twitter micro-blogging page, she said: 'Limbs, Wheelchairs and crutches pouring in for Haiti Limb appeal, Thank you sooooooooo much.

'Huge Thanks to Richard Branson and all the incredible Virgin staff for all their help with our Haiti Limb appeal.'

Meanwhile, Mills recently admitted she had spent most of her divorce settlement to McCartney.

Speaking to Dr Pamela Connolly on the TV show Shrink Rap, she said: 'Most of it's been given to charity, gone into ethical businesses or paid for a couple of properties for my daughter's future security.

'I could never sit with millions of pounds in the bank that could make matters change.'
