Nets Dancers It was probably a huge accomplishment to become a NBA dancer, now that you’ve reached this, what’s your next dream or goal?

My goal is to continue living day by day - as I currently do. I have so many aspirations down so many diverging avenues, and being able to explore more than one passion simultaneously is a big dream, but not unattainable. I would love to work in the Peace Corps or international humanitarian arena, go back to grad school and eventually be a professor, get into ballroom dancing... the list goes on and on.

Jock or Nerd. Which one would you really rather settle down with?

A balance. My whole life I strive to strike the balance - staying on top of my dancing game, as well as staying on top of my academics and growing in my career. I hope to settle down with someone who can complement me in that way; someone that has artfully balanced a personal passion with along with their career.

When you’re not dancing, where can people find you?

I absolutely love travelling. Any chance I get, I buy a plane ticket out of this country to check out a new place. I am headed to Israel in January, Spain in the spring, and hope to go to Uganda by the end of next year! More locally, you an find me at a Rutgers game, spending time with my family and friends, or putting in long hours at my job in the nonprofit field, where I help low income individuals and families build toward financial security.

Why is your team the best to dance for?

The ladies on the team really encourage each other to push the limits. We challenge each other to grow in a very supportive environment. The camaraderie is like nothing I've ever experienced. I feel blessed to be a part of such a talented team with lifelong friends. It makes all of the hard work worthwhile.

Who is your all-time favorite NBA player? Why?

I have complete admiration for former Nets Player, Dikembe Mutombo. Not only is he one of the greatest shot blockers and 4 time defensive player of the year, but in November he was named global ambassador for the NBA by Commissioner David Stern, in addition to his involvement in UNICEF, CARE and countless humanitarian efforts. After recently retiring from his basketball career, he continues to work off the court to build programs in the international arena. This work inspires me to continue along my own career path, where I long for my energy and efforts to contribute to similar efforts. Dikembe is a great leader for other's to emulate - setting the bar high with his notable contributions global community.

These ladies get us on our feet cheering loudly, but mostly for them...
