Jude Law, who most recently appeared on Broadway in Hamlet will host NBC-TV's "Saturday Night Live" March 13.
Law starred in the title role in Hamlet in fall 2009; the production had previously played London and Denmark's Elsinore. He was nominated for a Tony Award for originating the role of Michael in Jean Cocteau's drama Indiscretions (Les Parents Terribles) in 1994.
In London, Law has appeared in Les Parents Terribles, Dr. Faustus, 'Tis Pity She's a Whore and Death of a Salesman. On screen, he recently appeared as Dr. Watson in "Sherlock Holmes." His movie credits also include "The Holiday," "The Aviator" and "Alfie." He was nominated for an Oscar as Best Actor in a Leading Role for 2003's "Cold Mountain" and as Best Actor in a Supporting Role for 1999's "The Talented Mr. Ripley." He will star in "Repo Man," which opens nationwide on March 19. Law's "Saturday Night Live" appearance will mark his second time hosting the long-running sketch-comedy show. He last hosted in October 2004. "SNL" airs at 11:30 PM (ET) on NBC. Check local listings for time and channel in your area.
