Sandra BullockIt hardly bodes well for her Oscar chances, but Sandra Bullock was handed the dubious title of Worst Actress of 2009 this weekend.

The Hollywood star, 45, has been nominated for the best actress Oscar this year for her role in The Blind Side, however the alternative, pre-Oscars, Golden Raspberry (Razzie) awards have already named her worst actress for All About Steve.

Unlike most Razzie winners, Miss Bullock played the good sport and turned up to collect the award in person, bringing with her copies of the film to hand out to members who she accused of never seeing the big screen flop.

She told the cheering crowd: 'Something tells me you all didn't watch the film because I wouldn't be here if you really, really watched it and understood what I was trying to say,' she said.

Adding: 'Everyone gets a copy and this is the deal I'm going to make.'

'I will show up next year if you promise to watch the movie and really consider if it was truly the worst performance. If you're willing to watch, I'll come back next year and give back the Razzie.'

'Thank you for ruining my career with a very bad decision,' Bullock told the group, while threatening to read her dialogue from the role "until 4 in the morning."

No performer has ever won a Razzie and an Oscar the same year.

In All About Steve, Bullock plays Mary Horowitz, a socially awkward crossword compiler who stalks a local TV cameraman.

During the film she joins a group of protesters, gets hit by a tornado and falls down a mine shaft where she meets a deaf girl at the bottom - all while wearing a pair of shiny red boots.

Bullock also co-produced the film, which actually made a profit at the box office. However it was panned by critics.

On the other hand, The Blind Side has already led to a Golden Globe award for the actress.

In the film she plays a parent who takes a young, black, homeless boy under her wing.

However, despite her Golden Globe win, the actress insists she won't be taking home the famous golden statuette at this year's Oscars.

She said: 'I won’t win. Nine times out of 10 I always pick who’s going to win, so I already know who’s going to take it. I’m not going to say who, but I’m usually right.'

Hollywood stars are a rare sighting at the Razzies, but in 2005, Halle Berry claimed her award for Catwoman, and brought along the Oscar she previously won for her role in Monster's Ball.

The Razzies this year also turned their inside Hollywood sarcasm on one of the biggest box office hits of 2009, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

The critically panned blockbuster was named worst film, and organizers bestowed a second trophy of shame on its director, Michael Bay.

Special awards were given for the past decade. The 2000 film Battlefield Earth, based on the writings of Scientology creator L. Ron Hubbard, was named worst picture of the decade.

Comedian Eddie Murphy, who has had several box office duds in recent years, and Paris Hilton were named the worst actor and actress of the 2000s, respectively.

The so-called winners were determined by mailing ballots to 657 voters in the United States and 19 foreign countries.
