Twenty years have passed since Jennie Garth joined the cast of Beverly Hills 90210, but they have been very kind.

The 38-year-old showed off her svelte bikini body as she holidayed in Mexico yesterday.

Jennie's toned stomach and shapely figure was revealed by her striped blue bikini.

It looked as if the actress hadn't put on a pound of weight since she first joined the cast of the hit show in 1990.

Since then she has given birth to three daughters, Luca Bella, 12, seven-year-old Lola Ray, and three-year-old Fiona Eve.

Jennie was enjoying a romantic break with their father, Peter Facinelli, her husband of nine years.

Facinelli stars in the Twilight franchise as vampire doctor Carlisle Cullen.

The break was a chance for the two to spend some time together before Facinelli began a gruelling round of promotional activities ahead of the launch of the latest Twilight movie, Eclipse.

Jennie recently talked about their relationship, saying: 'We text. It’s quicker than calling - a lot of times you’re on set or in the middle of chaos and can’t talk.

'We keep each other laughing that way. He’s my comedic relief.'

And she said they talked every day.

'I need that fix every day. When your spouse is gone for extended periods, it’s hard to keep it together, but that’s our priority.'

Jennie's career is also going strong. She is one of only three original characters in the new Beverly Hills spin-off, 90210.

Her character Kelly Taylor is now a guidance counsellor at her old school West Beverly High.
