It takes something special to stand out on the red carpet at an awards bash devoted to sexiness featuring some of the world's most beautiful people.

But Australian model Miranda Kerr managed in a stunning leather mini dress.

The 26-year-old showed why she's one of Victoria's Secret's top model in the thigh-skimming number which showed off her figure to maximum effect.

Miss Kerr, who is currently dating British actor Orlando Bloom, was joined by fellow Victoria's Secret models Doutzen Kroes, 25, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, 23, and Candice Swanepoel, 21, at the What Is Sexy? awards party at Drai's in West Hollywood.

The stunning foursome, all of whom are contracted to the lingerie firm as part of their Angels team, made for quite a sight as they posed together for group and individual shots.

But, it was Miranda Kerr who stole the show in her gorgeous dress. Rosie Huntington-Whitely coming a close second in her elegant, fitted beige and white dress which had lots of tiny holes cut into it.

Other guests at the event included socialite Paris Hilton and Matthew McConnaughy's wife Brazilian model Camilla Alves, who was there to collect the award for Sexiest Mom.

With such a roster of beauties on their books, it's clear Victoria's Secret bosses certainly know a thing or two about what is classed as sexy.

And bearing that in mind, they hosted the awards ceremony which celebrated the bold and the beautiful of the world.

Featuring categories such as Sexiest Actress, Sexiest Lips and Sexiest Eyes, the ceremony honoured those who the judging panel felt were at the top of their game within each category.

While at the event, Miranda Kerr was questioned about what she finds attractive in a member of the opposite sex.

She told OnTheRedCarpet.com: 'Personally, I believe that women need to be stimulated mentally by the man. It's not necessarily about his looks.

'It’s more about being stimulated mentally, like when a man is funny or he is witty or charming, I think that’s attractive. It’s all about personality, really.'

She also took time to define her own interpretation of sexy, telling the website: 'It's all about embracing your own uniqueness and accentuating your best features.

'It's all about embracing that hourglass figure, and letting that inner bombshell come out.

'Obviously as human beings, no one is perfect. And as women, we can continually look at something we don't like about ourselves, because we can continuously compare ourselves to other women and say you know, I'm not this, I'm not that.

'But for me, it's not about wishing for something I don't have or trying to change something about myself. It's about me trying to embrace all aspects of myself.'

Earlier this week, the four ladies helped to promote the awards ceremony with the Shopping Secrets Of A Supermodel day.

They appeared at the Victoria's Secret store at The Grove in Los Angeles wearing T-shirts emblazoned with the slogan Bombshell - a nod to the theme of this year's What Is Sexy? awards.
