Preity ZintaPreity Zinta’s IPL troubles seem to go on and on. And it seems her problems began right from the year in which her team Kings XI Punjab was formed.

It’s come out now that the franchise made a loss in the first year of its formation, 2008-2009. As per documents submitted to the Registrar of Companies in Chandigarh, Kings XI spent about Rs80 crore in 2008-2009, while it earned just about Rs55 crore. The loss for the team was around Rs25 crore.

At IPL 3 this year, Preity’s team finished last, at the bottom of the points chart. But the controversies started during the tournament itself. Last month (April), a court in Chandigarh had issued notices to Preity and her ex-boyfriend Ness Wadia, among other Kings XI co-owners, because of a complaint filed by the ROC. The ROC had accused her franchise of not filing proper financial statements, including balance sheets and annual returns.

Did Preity’s team do better in IPL 2 and 3? We hope so for the actress, because she even neglected her B’wood career for the cricket.
