Gywneth Paltrow admitted they were a lifesaver after giving birth to her daughter Apple.

The 36-year-old looked svelte and trim just weeks after giving birth to her first child, daughter Betsy, in a red and navy spotted dress.
But it would appear that she had a bit of extra help sucking it all in as she flashed a leg of her black Spanx as she climbed the stairs from her north London home.
Spanx, described as 'body-shaping undergarments', have been worn by a number of celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and Paltrow.
Talent show fan: Denise left baby Betsy behind as she headed off to the BGT final
Paltrow admitted wearing two at a time after she gave birth to Apple to win back her figure.
Denise was heading out to be in the audience at last night's Britain's Got Talent, leaving baby Betsy at home, her third public outing out without her since she was born on May 1.
She and husband Lee Mead, 28, attended David Walliams wedding on May 17, and then supported Mead two days later as he joined the cast of musical Wicked at London's Apollo Victoria theatre.

Then she added: 'Spelbound...WOW!!!'
