Fergie

After a whirlwind tour of the UK over the past few weeks, it's little wonder singer Fergie was looking somewhat exhausted yesterday.

The star barely managed a smile as she hid tired eyes behind oversized mirrored sunglasses as she left her Birmingham hotel.

The 35-year-old looked down in the mouth as she made her way to the city's LG Arena where she and the band played their second date as part of the UK leg of their THE E.N.D WORLD tour.

Dressed casually in a green Adidas tracksuit and a smudge of pink lipgloss, she barely acknowleged the cameras as she got into a waiting car outside the hotel.

Once seated, she managed to raise a faint grin as she headed off to prepare for last night's gig.

Her eyes were just visible under the huge shades which also seemed to give Fergie an almost insect-like look, as the round frames engulfed her whole face.

She was closely followed by fellow Black Eyed Peas stars, 34-year-old Taboo - real name Jaime Luis Gómez - and 35-year-old apl.de.ap - real name Allan Pineda Lindo - who greeted the cameras with peace signs as they left the hotel and made their way to the venue.

There was no sign of rapper will.i.am, who may have been catching up on some sleep after a night out in Birmingham on Monday.

The star was seen leaving the hotel the night before the Birmingham concert accompanied by apl.de.ap as they enjoyed the city's nightlife.

Clutching a coveted new Apple iPad, will.i.am, 35, and apl.de.ap chatted to fans outside.

The band were back in Birmingham to play a second date at the LG Arena, having already treated fans earlier in the tour to a show on May 8.

They jetted into the Midlands city from Portugal where they played in a special concert at the Estadio Nacional, Lisbon to give the Portugal World Cup team a send off.

They had come fresh from two dates in London at the weekend at the O2 Arena where they were joined on stage by none other than actor Tom Cruise, who was in the capital promoting his new film Knight and Day.

The 47-year-old stunned fans as he joined the band to help them perform their last song I've Got A Feeling.

Later it transpired that Cruise had been secretly asked to join the band onstage by singer Fergie.

This weekend they fly to Paris to entertain their French fans, before heading on to Spain and Germany.

But they spent most of May in the UK, with four dates at the O2 in London, three in Birmingham and four in Manchester.
