Fergie

She's doesn't spring to mind as a typical Avon Lady, but pop star Fergie has signed on to the brand to release her first ever fragrance.

The Black Eyed Peas singer appears in a racy photo shoot to promote her first signature scent, Outspoken, which she created in collaboration with the beauty label.

Dressed in a sheer lace frock and stiletto boots, the 35-year-old strikes a series of poses alongside a metal megaphone in a new advertising campaign.

Smell of success: Fergie calls the fragrance 'fresh' and 'modern'

The pop star joins a growing list of A-list stars who have worked with Avon, including Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Hudson, Salma Hayek and Courteney Cox.

Fergie, real name Stacey Ferguson, has said: 'Each one completely different, but they are all wonderful, strong women who have a purpose. It was very important to me to bring what I have to the table.

'I'm a bit more rock n' roll than some of the other artists, and Avon has really allowed my personality to come through.'

The tuberose fragrance also features notes of frozen blackberry, starfruit, saffron, jasmine, passion flower, ebony, black leather and vetiver.

It is priced at $28 and is available through Avon sales representatives.

'It’s fresh but yet still modern,' Fergie says of the new product. 'The process [of creating it] was amazing!'

Fergie, who is married to actor Josh Duhamel, is set to resume the Black Eyed Peas' E.N.D. World Tour in France next month.

The perfume business is proving to be a very lucrative option for Hollywood celebrities.

Jennifer Lopez, for example, has already sold more than $1billion worth of perfume, making herself a fortune in the process.
