Coleen Rooney has never been afraid of a little coordination.

From matching shoes and bags, to dresses and coats, the 23-year-old WAG has got accessorising down to an art.

But even Coleen took it to a whole new level yesterday when she ensured a shopping bag, no doubt containing a whole host of new items for her already-exploding wardrobe, was the same colour as her dress.

Coleen, who enjoyed a shopping trip with a friend in Liverpool, brightened up the dreary weather in her red chiffon dress, which she paired with a black structured jacket, tights and shoe boots, and accessorised with a classic Chanel bag and animal print scarf.

But the best accessory of all was undoubtedly the red United Colours of Benetton shopping bag, which added a certain 'je ne sais quoi' to her ensemble.

Coleen might need to don her bright dress again today in a bid to cheer up husband Wayne Rooney, whose football team Manchester United lost 3-1 to Everton in Liverpool.

Coleen is clearly already on the way to losing the weight she gained while pregnant with son Kai, now three-months-old.

After embarking on an intense diet and exercise regime following the birth, Coleen has been photographed over recent months looking increasingly slim, and has enjoyed showing off her returning slim figure in a series of tight-fitting outfits.

Coleen previously revealed she was 'not planning on rushing into losing weight after the baby' but admitted: 'Because I am short, I sometimes look bigger than I am - especially in pictures.'
