The superstar singer is used to looking glam herself as she graces the red carpet at awards shows like the Grammys.
But this time Beyonce Knowles was completing a different type of dream makeover as she unveiled her very own Beyonce Cosmetology Centre in Brooklyn, New York.
The programme set up by the singer will offer a seven-month cosmetology training course for men and women at Phoenix House - a non-profit recover centre for drug and alcohol addicts.
Endorsement: Superstar singer Beyonce opens the Beyonce Cosmetology Centre In Brooklyn alongside her mother Tina and New York mayor Michael Bloomberg
It is a project Beyonce and her mother Tina Knowles, a fashion designer who owned a hair salon in her hometown of Houston, have been working on for several years.
And because she is a face of L'Oréal Paris, the cosmetic giant is generously providing all make up, skin care and hair care products for the centre.
Beyonce said: 'I felt like they needed something that was geared towards women - something that would teach them skills that would give them hope even after the Phoenix House.
Worth it: The Single Ladies singer takes a tour around the downtown Brooklyn neighbourhood where Phoenix House is located and, right, smiles before making a speech to officially open the centre
'I saw that a salon was a place for women to socialise, share stories, cry, laugh and get advice.
'Most importantly, I saw the joy it brought my mother, knowing she was a part of their transformation.'
The pop star was first associated with Phoenix House when she visited female heroin addicts as part of her preparation for the role of Etta James in the 2008 film Cadillac Records.

After speaking to several women in treatment, Beyonce donated her entire salary from the film to the centre.
Students taking courses at the cosmetology centre will learn a wide range of beauty therapy treatments and will be ale to take the NYS Cosmetology Licensure Exam.
Mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg, and Tina Knowles were among other guests as Beyonce cut the ribbon at the official opening of the centre yesterday.
Howard Meitiner, chief executive of Phoenix House, said: 'We were thrilled when Beyonce and her mother Tina approached us about creating a cosmetology centre for our clients.
'Their generosity and compassion toward the men and women who serve is extraordinary. With this tremendous gift, they have given our clients a route to achieve successful, rewarding lives in recovery.'
The Single Ladies singer, who also toured the downtown Brooklyn neighbourhood where the centre is located, added: 'It's a very proud day for me and my mother.'
