They are known for being coy about their relationship, but Christine Bleakley and Frank Lampard have finally been photographed together.

The footballer was supporting the The One Show presenter as she promoted her challenge to waterski the English Channel for Sport Relief charity.

Christine, 31, left the Radio 1 studios with Frank and her sister after appearing on the Chris Moyles show yesterday morning.

She was then whisked off to Chelsea for breakfast by the pair - although she was doing the driving.

The host, who drove the 31-year-old in her silver sports car, admitted to the Daily Mail recently: 'He is known for being a very intelligent bloke and obviously I see that as well.

‘That contents me very much. You need someone to be able to have a conversation with you and be on the same wavelength, and he is like that.

'He is very, very smart. It is going well but it’s still early days.’

Last month Lampard told the Daily Mail that he still considers himself as unattached and said: 'I'm a single man'.

He then added: ''If I'm chosen to go, then the World Cup is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. If you say that for those four to six weeks I have got to be away from my girlfriend, then I'll take it.

'I don't want the women staying somewhere round the corner, so I'm thinking, "Does she want me there today? I want to rest today, I don't really want to go out and see her, but the other players are going, so should I?"'

Christine has been more open, admitting her boyfriend thinks she is 'mad' for her Sport Relief charity event.

She will attempt to be the first woman to ski the Channel later this week but her bid to get into the record books has been beset with problems.

Predictions of gale-force winds forced her team to cancel the event today and last night the bid was also ruled out for Thursday.

She will now try and conquer the waves on Friday.

But even if the weather calms, Christine will have to do better than stay upright for the mere 25 minutes she has managed so far in training - and that was on a lake.

It will take an hour and a half to make the 22-mile trip from Dover to Calais in miserable 7C temperatures. The wind chill will be below freezing.

The Channel is also the busiest shipping lane in the world.

Christine said: 'The more you fall the more exhausted you get and the longer you're in the water the colder you get obviously and the more exhausted you become.'

But on the bright side, French authorities have finally agreed to allow her to enter their waters during the attempt.

A spokesman for Sport Relief said: 'Christine faces real danger of suffering from hypothermia, frostbite and exhaustion, as well as potential ligament damage and bone fractures from hitting the water at speed.'

After the early morning wake-up call, Christine managed a brave smile as she then went for breakfast with her boyfriend in Chelsea.
