And she has admitted dressing down is sometimes a welcome break from her glamorous character.

'A day off!' she said in a recent interview.

'Sometimes you just have to get away.'

And she prepares for her red carpet events by staying fit and healthy.

'I drink lots of water!!' she said. 'Plus, I don't smoke or drink alcohol.

McCord, who also starred in 'Nip/Tuck' claims to have always been slim.

But she admits the exercise she loves the most is the stuff that is fun.

"With my unpredictable work hours, I rarely have time to exercise and have fun, so my idea of a good workout is to mix them both,' she said.

'I love being outdoors, playing beach tennis, going for runs in the sand, or doing a three-hour hike with my best girlfriend, Mieko."
