Cheryl Cole looks set to pursue her career in America after announcing her divorce from husband Ashley today.
She confirmed she had lodged a petition against the England and Chelsea star in the High Court yesterday and is understood to be looking for a clean break.
Mrs Cole, 26, is said to want a 'quickie' divorce and will not be asking for any of the £6m-a-year sportsman's money.
The 26-year-old star looked deep in thought as she visited the dentist in Borehamwood today wearing a stylish outfit of charcoal grey t-shirt, tight jeggings and wedge heels.

Ashley Cole was also spotted today, arriving at Graz airport in Feldkirchen, Austria, with the England football team as they prepare for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
Details of the divorce are still emerging but it is believed Cheryl will also let Ashley have their £6m former matrimonial home in Surrey, allowing her to move to the States when it suits.
The London Evening Standard claimed today Simon Cowell is 'very close' to convincing her to sign up as a judge for the new U.S. version of The X Factor.
She also records in the States, working closely with her new best friend from the Black Eyed Peas, Will.i.am.

A source told the paper: “She is very close to signing a deal worth millions with Simon. Ashley has been the major factor holding her back, but now she will be free to pursue her career in America, where Simon is convinced she could be a huge star.
'He has been trying very hard to get her to sign up for the new show, and will now feel he has a very good chance of getting her to commit.”
The 26-year-old singer filed papers at the High Court yesterday and is expected to ask for a “quickie” divorce.
Her management Supersonic PR confirmed the news on Twitter this morning, writing the message: 'We can confirm the divorce. We have no further comment.'
Legal matter: Cheryl is citing 'unreasonable behaviour' in her divorce papers against Ashley
X Factor judge Cheryl is said to want to get things done and dusted before England's first World Cup match on June 12, although legal sources say such a quick turnaround would be highly optimistic.
The Daily Mail revealed on April 17 that she would be seeking a dignified divorce.
A source said: 'When it happens, it will be quick, quiet and painless. Cheryl's style. All she wants is her home and her dogs.'
A source is quoted in The Sun today, saying: 'Cheryl made a swift decision to put England's World Cup dreams ahead of herself.
'The divorce should be finalised before England's first touch of the ball in South Africa on June 12.'

In fact, it is possible that Cheryl is only pursuing a quickie divorce because it is the most effective way of keeping private details out of the public arena.
Cheryl and Ashley did not sign a pre-nuptial agreement, meaning there could have been a messy battle carving up their estimated £22million fortune.
Top divorce lawyer Amanda McAlister, national head of family law at Russell Jones & Walker, told MailOnline: 'The details of Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s divorce remained private because a quickie divorce keeps such matters out of the media spotlight.
Success: Cheryl has forged a successful solo career and has relinquished any claim to Ashley's money, seen together here fronting a much-maligned ad campaign for the National Lottery in July 2006 ahead of their wedding
'Cheryl probably wants to avoid a bloodbath like the Mills McCartney divorce.'
Girls Aloud star Cheryl has forged her solo career using her married name.
Sources close to the star recently suggested she may now consider just being known as Cheryl, or revert to her maiden name Tweedy.
But according to sources, Cheryl just wants a clean break and is not interested in financial wrangling.
MsMcAlister added: 'Many people who divorce want to shed the bad memories and start afresh. I suspect Cheryl feels that way about her marital home and that’s why she’s not arguing about who gets it. And, of course, she has her own fortune.'
Cheryl officially announced she was separating from Ashley in February via her management on the Supersonic PR Twitter page.
