Kristin Davis

Any celebrity worth her salt knows how embarrassing camera flashes can render nights out.

But unfortunately for Kristin Davis, she was oblivious to the glare of the paparazzi's attention, which proved a little too illuminating as she left a London restaurant.

The result was that we now all know what colour underwear the Sex And The City actress was wearing after her bra became clearly visible underneath a flimsy top.

Let's hope she doesn't suffer any similar difficulties this evening when she attends the London premiere of the SATC sequel in Leicester Square.

Whoops: Kristin Davis ended up revealing more than she bargained for last night when her top became see-through under the glare of the flashlights in London

Out in the open: The Sex And The City actress, who arrived in Britain yesterday, was out to dinner at Cecconi's in posh Mayfair

She headed out for dinner in a layered leather grey skirt, Christian Louboutin peep toe heels and her ill-fated (but otherwise stylish) dark green top.

The actress was dining at Cecconi's, a classic Italian restaurant in Mayfair and a popular place to eat with celebs.

Touch down: Co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall arrived at Heathrow yesterday too ahead of tonight's London premiere

Chris Noth

Chris Noth, who plays Mr Big in the films, was at the National Movie Awards in London last night

Earlier yesterday Sarah Jessica Parker, 45, and Kim Cattrall, 53, touched down in London after flying in from New York following Monday's world premiere.

But they were not out to dinner with 45-year-old Kristin. On the other side of town Chris Noth, who plays My Big in the films, was attending the National Movie Awards held at the Royal Festival Hall.

Now it's just Cynthia Nixon, 44, who is to arrive in Britain ready for tonight's big event.

While the London premiere comes a few days after the world premiere in New York, the first film in 2008 was a different story. Many New Yorkers threatened to boycott the first Sex And The City film after the world premiere took place in London - despite the film and TV series being set in Manhattan.

Producers apologised, insisting it was logistical and scheduling conflicts being behind their decision to debut the movie in London.
