Nick Jonas

The 17-year-old Jonas Brothers singer will play the part of Marius in Britain's longest-running musical at the Queen's Theatre in the prestigious West End district for a three-week period from June 21st.

Nick was first earmarked for the role when he was just 10 years old after being spotted by producer Cameron Mackintosh playing Gavroche in the production's run on New York's Broadway.

Cameron told the Daily Mail newspaper: "I went up to him at the closing night party in New York and told him he was terrific and hoped that one day he would return to play Marius. We've been in touch a lot and, of course, since then he has become this world-famous star.

"He and his father and I agreed that it would be great if he came and played Marius here in London."

Cameron has praised Nick for his commitment to the production, as the 'Fly With Me' hitmakers broke off from a concert tour to allow their brother to appear in the West End show.

Cameron explained: "He has bent over backwards to fit it all into his schedule."
