Paris Hilton had a lucky escape from the law yesterday after she accidentally drove in a bicycle lane.
The hotel heiress, 29, was spotted veering her GMC Yukon Hybrid into the cyclists' lane on her way back from a shopping trip in Hollywood.
After being stopped by police, Hilton was given a stern talking to by an officer, who then let her continue her journey with a warning.

He means business: The officer approached her vehicle with his hand on his gun
Seated at the wheel of her 2008 4X4, Hilton obediently showed the officer her driving license.
Hilton was on her way back home after splashing out several thousand dollars in the Apple store on Melrose Avenue.
During her retail excursion, she updated her Twitter page: 'Just got some new computers and electronic gadgets at The Melrose Mac Store. I am such a tech nerd ;) I can't help it! Technology Rocks! :)'

Hilton looked particularly dressed up for her shopping trip, she was wearing a multi-coloured print dress and a pair of Christian Louboutin high heels.
She completed her outfit with a pair of customised white sunglasses - which had her name Paris on the side, just in case people weren't sure who she was.
While she escaped with just a warning yesterday, Hilton hasn't always been so lucky behind the wheel.
In 2007, she was sentenced to 45 days in jail for violating her probation stemming from a drink driving charge the previous year.

Hilton recently launched her own website, ParisHilton.com, to combine her myriad of business ventures, including fashion, accessories and perfume lines
She also hopes to promote her personal appearances and potential acting and singing work on the site.
She said: 'I am so thrilled that with this launch I can now directly reach my fans around the world and bring them the most up to the minute news, entertainment and accurate information on everything we are working on at Paris Hilton Entertainment.
'I'm very passionate about social media and new technology and plan to continually find new ways to innovate and bring my fans the most exciting and fun ways to communicate, share and learn together. I'm so excited to get started.'
