Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone lit up the red carpet at the Chivas-Cannes media meet at Mumbai's Grand Hyatt hotel Wednesday, but what in the world is she wearing?

The Bollywood beauty has been invited to attend the Cannes Film Festival this year as the guest of Chivas Regal, one of the movie festival's partners. The "Housefull" actress will be wearing fashion designer's Rohit Bal outfits, but judging by the dress she was wearing today, Deepika is not ready to bring glam to Cannes!

The famous film festival is known for drawing stars from all over the world and only the best of the best get to walk the red carpet to show off the latest trends. Deepika has been chosen to represent Indian fashion at the prestigious events, so let's just hope that she doesn't bring anymore of these heavy 'white and maroon anarkalis.'

The weather on the French Riviera is sunny and warm in May when the festival is always held so the B-town babe is sure to sweat if she is planning on wearing this type of dress! The anarkali itself is not very hot and the colors don't go well with Deepika's style, but worst of all is that it doesn't look flattering on her body at all. Dips has definitely seen better red carpet days!

The actress brought denim back on the cover of Vogue magazine in May boy did she look good! Even the dreaded denim dungaree looked good on her and we guess it takes someone as pretty as Dips to make denim look hot! Wearing a pair of denim dungarees shorts, the "Housefull" actress showed off her slim body and somewhat unusual Chanel tattoo on the arm.

So we really don't know what happened here. What went wrong? Why did Deepika think it was a good idea to dress up in this overwhelming anarkali in order to represent Chivas in Cannes? Not a good idea and not a hot look! What do you think of Deepika Padukone's look for this year's Cannes Film Festival? Drop us a line.
