Aimee Osbourne

Unlike her fame hungry siblings, Aimee Osbourne has chosen to stay out of the limelight.

The 26-year-old refused to appear in the MTV reality show The Osbournes which made her family famous, moving out of their house and insisting the cameras stop rolling on her visits.

So it came as a surprise to see her join her parents Sharon and Ozzy, brother Jack and sister Kelly at Spike TV Guy's Choice awards in Los Angeles yesterday.

Aimee, who lives in London and works as a singer, actress and columnist, joined the clan to watch her father pick up an award for Outstanding Literary Achievement.

Ozzy was handed his gong by presenter Sir Ben Kingsley, and appeared delighted as he celebrated on stage.

But while brown-haired Aimee was happy to by photographed alongside her famous family as they ate dinner, she skipped the red carpet.

Instead Jack and Kell posed together, while Ozzy joined Sharon for a photo.

Although appearing on The Osbournes has helped her family carve careers in the media - winning Sharon a coveted place as a judge on the X Factor - Aimee does not appear to regret her decision.

She once described MTV as making a 'laughing stock' of her father, although she has appeared in subsequent documentaries about her family, including Sharon's interview with Piers Morgan.

Sharon said of her: 'My eldest daughter, Aimee, is very private and doesn't want anything to do with the world of celebrity - who can blame her?

'She elected not to appear in The Osbournes and my only regret about doing the show is that it meant I spent less time with her while we were filming it.'

The show ran on MTV from 2002 to 2005 and was filmed with 24 cameras around the family's Los Angeles home.

Ozzy wrote a song about his daughter, simply entitled Aimee.

He also has three older children from his first marriage to Thelma Riley.
