Christina Aguilera's wardrobe must be bursting at the seams with quirky and eclectic outfits.

So it was no surprise to see the 29-year-old singer step out in a unique pair of ripped jeans as she went shopping in Beverly Hills yesterday.

Aguilera teamed her £250 Hudson skinny jeans, which feature a Union Jack flag underneath the ripped denim with a black basque-style top, black jacket and Christian Louboutin heels.

With her platinum blonde hair scraped back into a chic chignon and her trademark red lipstick teamed with a variety of accessories, Aguilera looked every inch the style icon.

But the Not Myself Tonight singer isn't the first star to wear the quirky trousers.

Supermodel Elle Macpherson decided to wear the Hudson jeans to take her children to school in February.

Meanwhile, Aguilera has decided to end rumours of a feud between herself and Lady Gaga once and for all.

Following months of reports of Gaga copying Aguilera and vice versa, Aguilera took to her website to assure her fans that she does not have anything against the Poker Face.

She said: 'It is very easy for comments to be taken out of context and create unnecessary drama - especially between us women.

'So I would like to tell you all directly so my words can not be misconstrued. I have absolutely nothing against Lady Gaga or any other female artist in the business.

'I think she is great, and I appreciate any woman fearless enough to go against the norm.

'She has earned her success with hard work and a clear focus and I have nothing but respect for that.

'There is room for all of us on everyone's iPods. This is not the first time I have been unfairly pitted against another female artist but it will be the last time I comment on the matter.'
