Liv revealed the pair - who attended the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute gala in New York on Monday (03.05.10) together - like to get ready in a special way.She said: "We have this little ritual where we meet at like 2 or 3 o'clock and we drink champagne and do hair and makeup and take pictures.
"Then we come here and we start walking and we're like, 'Oh my God! I'm going to trip!' "
Liv and Kate attended the event with Stella McCartney - who designed both of their outfits - and the British designer revealed Kate in particular appreciated the cream v-neck floor-length gown.
She told Us Weekly: "She said it makes her feel like a princess. It was made for the girl. It is very much her personality."
Liv and Stella are particularly close, with the 'Armageddon' actress revealing her ideal night in would be at Stella's country house talking about men.
She said: "A great night in? Stella McCartney's house in the country. Once our kids are asleep it's 'grab the wine' and take turns to talk boys and husbands."
