As Rihanna took to the stage to perform her new single Rude Boy in Germany last night, the singer with an album titled Rated R was intent on living up to the billing.
The 22-year-old's performance veered to the lewd side of sexy at the Echo Awards in Berlin as she danced around with robots whose behaviour was certainly not for young eyes.
Wearing a black and white bodysuit, with a white frill on the bottom, Rihanna gyrated around the stage as the machines kissed her, pinched her derrière and sprayed water on her.

The singer, whose hair was unusually flat to the side of her head, also touched herself suggestively as she revelled in the performance of her latest track.
She had also arrived at the event in a dramatic outfit earlier in the evening - a futuristic Alexandre Vauthier bottle green jumpsuit, from the designer's Spring 2010 Haute Couture collection, accessorised with nude Christian Louboutin stilettos.
Rihanna was celebrating Rude Boy breaking a U.S. Billboard record.
The track, which entered the chart at No.8, became the singer's fourth Hot 100 hit - the most by a female artist since the beginning of the last decade.

Rihanna's outrageous performance was perhaps recognition that she is facing competition from new faces on the music scene, including pop sensation Ke$ha, who has been nicknamed Baby Gaga.
For her turn on stage, the 23-year-old singer wore a black PVC catsuit, which was unzipped to the navel to show off a sparkly black bra.
She accessorised the look with black studded biker boots, a feathered crown and a set of dancers who were painted head to toe in gold.

Other performers at the event, which is dubbed the German Grammys, included British stars Robbie Williams and Sade.
Robbie sang his new single Morning Sun at the event, where he was also presented with the Best International Male award - beating off competition from David Guetta, Mark Knopfler, Milow and Bruce Springsteen.
As he took to the stage to accept his award from former German goalkeeper Oliver Kahn, Robbie showed off his impressive football skills by kicking a ball into the audience.

The Berlin awards ceremony also saw performances from British comeback queen Sade, who looked svelte in a tight white dress, slashed to the thigh, and black belt.
Gossip frontwoman Beth Ditto also took to the stage in a colourful feather print dress with chains and impressive eye makeup.
