Body care::Make Body Smoothing Scrub

Dry flaky skin can be a problem year round, but the winter weather magnifies this problem. I find that whether it be for your face, your legs, your arms, or your rump; sugar makes the best softening and smoothing scrub around. The level of coarseness can easily be adjusted for different skin types and it is extremely inexpensive and effective.

1.Take sugar in a sealed container into the shower along with your favorite moisturizing bodywash.

2.After wetting your skin, carefully remove a palm full of sugar from the container and add a tablespoon of body wash. Mix in palm until the consistency of a paste. Add a small bit of water as needed to reduce the coarseness of the mix (the sugar will dissolve with the water so do this carefully, if you over do it, just add more sugar).

3.Scrub ALL parts of your body that you want to smooth or soften. The mixture should be course enough to give you a really good scrub to get the best effect.

4.Allow the paste to dry on your skin slightly as you do other parts of your body. Rinse well.

5.The sugar combined with the wash will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth, smelling wonderful and tasting ever so slightly sweet.

acne treatment:Cover-up acne and scars in 3 steps

When you have a break-out or scars left behind do to one, it will take a little extra attention to that area to effectively cover it up.

Step1........................
Use a firm brush to apply concealer and foundation to a pimple or scar. You will want to use a concealer or foundation slightly darker then your skin tone on the top of the pimple or scar. Then you will want to use a concealer and foundation which is slightly lighter then your skin tone on the bottom of the pimple or scar.
Shine tends to be accentuated on a raised surface, using this trick helps to camouflage the area. http://www.vitaminscost.com/img/acne_scar_treatment.jpg
Step2........................
Use a small amount of concealer to fill each pit, (which is a scar left behind from a pimple) Since pits tend to go in,they need to be filled in to help even out your skin. Fill in with a dense concealer or foundation the same color as your skin tone.

Step3........................
Lastly dust your entire face with a translucent powder. Then apply the rest of your make-up, like your eyeshadow, lipstick, etc. Just never apply to much! Doing so may make you look older and your skin worse.

Collagen injection is probably the most famous lip enhancement treatments as collagen has been in use from more than 20 years already. Collagen injections give the opportunity to increase the size of the lips without a permanent result. The collagen injections used for lip enhancement usually contain Bovine collagen and unfortunately there is a possibility of allergic reaction but it’s very rare. Use of A Night Cream?

Using and applying a night cream should be an integral part of your skin care routine once you reach 30s. Night creams are specially designed to nourish and improve your skin while you sleep as these creams contain lots of nourishing, moisturizing active ingredients. Night creams or serums are especially beneficial for those past 30 as their skin begins to show the first signs of aging – fine lines appear, the skin becomes drier and less elastic, skin begins to look dull and patchy.

Why you should use a night cream?

It’s proven that the skin’s ability to absorb active ingredients peaks at night and skin loses more essential moisture at night – that’s why you should help your skin restore itself by applying a night cream that will allow your skin to absorb more nourishing, moisturizing and anti-ageing ingredients. Due to the active ingredients these creams contain, they not only nourish and condition the skin, but they also repair damage caused by free radicals, makeup, air pollution, sun’s rays.

What are the benefits of Why You Should Use A Night Cream? apply-night-cream generalusing and applying night creams?

  • nourish and revitalize the skin
  • supply moisture and hydration
  • sooth and calm the skin
  • promote even complexion and finer texture
  • boost collagen and elastin production
  • improve blood circulation
  • reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, discolorations
  • prevent sagging of the skin
  • make skin soft, smooth and supple
  • improve the appearance of aging skin
  • help skin recover faster and restore skin’s elasticity
  • stimulate cell renewal

The main difference between a day cream (moisturizer) and a night cream is the ingredients these creams contain. Day creams are lighter in texture and contain ingredients that moisturize and protect the skin from the harmful UVA and UVB rays (with SPF 15 or higher). Night creams contain more nourishing, anti-aging active ingredients that stimulate cell renewal, restore skin’s elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Night creams are thicker in texture and usually don’t offer sun protection.

How to choose the best night cream for your skin?
It’s crucial to choose a night cream that suits your skin type. Never buy too thick formula as it may damage your skin instead of repairing it – if the cream is too thick or too oily it may clog your pores, leaving your skin unable to breathe naturally. No matter your skin type or age you should look for a lighter texture that is hypoallergenic (won’t cause allergic reaction), non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores), fragrance-free.

20s
Look for a moisturizing night cream that contains more natural ingredients – essential oils, honey, aloe vera, chamomile. If your skin is oily or combination look for a lighter formula that is oil-free and non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores) with alpha or beta hydroxy acids.

30s
Once you reach 30s you should look for a richer night cream that contains anti-aging active ingredients - retinol, collagen, amino acids, ceremides, vitamins as well as AHAs. Consider applying anti-aging eye cream that treats fine lines around the eyes.

40s
At 40 you should begin using night anti-wrinkle cream that treats deeper lines and wrinkles, prevents puffiness and sagging of the skin. Look for a cream that contains collagen, retinol, Ceremides, peptides, lipids panthenol, copper, soy extract, essential oils and vitamins.

Common ingredients in night creams:
Most of the night creams on the market today contain many active ingredients that nourish and condition your skin while you sleep – ingredients that plump up the skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, skin discolorations.
Common ingredients in night creams are: vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin A, Jojoba oil, Aloe Vera, honey, olive oil, apricot oil, Shea butter, rose oil, jasmine, anti-aging components – retinol, peptides, amino acids, AHAs, pathenol, copper, antioxidants, collagen.

How to apply a night cream properly?

No matter your age and skin type you should always remove your makeup and cleanse your skin twice a day. Use a mild facial cleanser and wash your face with circular motions. Apply facial toner depending on your skin type to remove any excess oil, dirt or makeup residue. Let your face dry for a few minutes before you apply the cream, otherwise it will just slide right off your face. Take appropriate amount of the cream with your fingertips (on the fourth finger) and apply it to the face, avoiding the eye area. Dot the cream, an inch away from the eyes to avoid irritation. Starting with the centre of your face applying the product up and out to give your face a bit of a lift. Make sure you apply the cream evenly and massage it very lightly. Never rub the cream. Use an eye cream to moisturize and nourish the skin around the eyes.

Useful Beauty Tips:

  • Always remove your makeup in the evening with a mild makeup remover.
  • Always apply a day or night cream to a cleansed and toned skin.
  • Avoid using too thick night cream – it may damage your skin.
  • If your skin is oily and prone to breakouts look for oil-free moisturizer and night cream.
  • If your skin is prone to breakouts or is prone to acne choose a cream containing alpha hydroxy or benzoyl peroxide.
  • Always use skincare products and makeup products that are appropriate for your skin type.
  • Never use heavy creams or moisturizers around the eyes as these could irritate your eyes.
  • Use an eye cream to prevent fine lines around the eyes and dark circles.
  • Use products that stimulate blood circulation and encourage oxygenation – this will help fight dehydration and imbalances such as excessive oil production and dryness.
  • Look for products containing more natural ingredients – essential oil, Aloe Vera, honey, chamomile, vitamins, minerals.
  • At night remove your makeup carefully. Apply cleansing milk and remove the mascara firstly and when you have removed the makeup completely apply an eye cream again.
  • Use a day and night cream from the same brand – these products are designed to work together for best results.

Steaming the face is the best way to thoroughly deep clean your pores. Steaming the face once a week for example is very important to loosen debris that may be embedded into the skin. When steaming the face you widen any clogged pores and soften the skin in order to cleanse more easily the impurities, the traces of makeup, the dust, the sebaceous secretions as well as the dead skin cells.
Boil a pan of water with herbs ( for oily skin you can use thyme, peppermint or lemon; for sensitive and dry skin use chamomile or lime; for normal skin can use rosemary or lavender) and steam your face for approximately 10/ 15 minutes.

Gently exfoliate How To Make Your Skin Glowing In One Day? glowing-skin general

Apply a mask
The best time for applying facial mask is after steaming your face, because the pores are open and the mask will be able to penetrate deeply into the skin. Choose a face mask that suits your skin type and apply it once or twice a week. A brightening mask works great to bring back the glow to your face buy you might decide to try another mask – there are great firming, nourishing, purifying and hydrating facial masks on the market specially designed for every skin type.

Look for a product that contains more natural ingredients such as Aloe Vera, honey, chamomile, almond oil, olive oil, vitamins (especially vitamin C), minerals and essential oils. In the morning cleanse your face with a mild facial cleanser and gently massage your face with light, circular motions to improve blood circulation and to make your skin glowing.

Makeup for glowing skin

You can make your skin glow with the appropriate makeup products. It’s essential to apply a moisturizer or a hydrating face cream every morning no matter your skin type or age.

Choose a sheer liquid foundation and apply it onto a cleansed and well-moisturized face. If you want to make your foundation flawless-looking and to make it stay put on for longer consider applying a makeup primer before the foundation. The aim of a primer is to prepare the skin for the makeup application, to pamper the skin and creating a protective base for longer- lasting, natural looking foundation.

Consider applying a light-reflecting face powder if your skin is absolutely clear – free of pimples, scars, blackheads, whiteheads, brown spots and other skin imperfections. Apply the powder with a big, round powder brush over the entire face or only to the cheeks.

Use a blush in pink or peachy shade as these shades suit almost everyone and look more natural. Apply the blusher with a blush brush and build the color gradually. Use a powder blush as it last longer than a cream or gel blush. Choose brighter shades as they will make your skin glow and will freshen your skin.

Lipsticks or lip glosses in brighter shades will also make your skin glow. First outline your lips with a nude lip pencil or with a natural-toned lip liner and use a lipstick brush to apply the color evenly. Remove the excess with a tissue and then apply a second layer for a more saturated lip color and for a longer-lasting lipstick color.

The Best Anti-Aging Cream For You?

How To Choose The Best Anti-Aging Cream For You? the-best-anti-aging-cream generalMature skin has its own specific needs. Fortunately today there is a wide range of anti-aging products designed specially for every skin type, for every age and for the different needs of the skin. There are anti-wrinkle creams, serums, masks, creams for the eye area, for the neck, hands, face, etc.

Most of the anti-aging products contain Retinol, collagen, alpha-hydroxy acids, vitamins and minerals that are known to help stop the sign of aging and to erase fine lines and wrinkles.
When applied to the skin the ingredients that the anti-aging cream contains inhibit muscle movements to soften wrinkles and prevent new wrinkles to form. The ingredients penetrate the outer layer of the skin and work to repair and stimulate collagen and elastin production in the skin. Other anti-wrinkle product work by shedding the uppermost layer of the skin, allowing new healthier skin cells to appear (those are usually products containing alpha hydroxy acids). You should know that no anti-aging product can remove your wrinkles or fine lines after the first days of usage. These products gradually smooth the appearance of your skin and the results are usually visible after a month or two.

Today most of the anti-aging cream offer sun protection and contain antioxidants that neutralize free radicals which combined with excessive sun exposure may lead to serious skin problems.

Common ingredients in anti-aging creams:

  • Retinol (vitamin A) – a powerful antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals that usually lead to premature aging (free radicals break down skin cells and collagen in the skin). Retinol is also known as Retin A, Retinoic Acid, Tretinoin. Retin A is probably the most used ingredient in anti-aging creams, serums, tonics. It reduces fine lines and wrinkles, it stimulates the production of collagen and reduce skin discolorations. Retin A is also known for its abilities to tighten large pores and minimize sun damage. Retinol is widely used to treat severe acne and acne Rosacea.
  • Kinetin – a naturally-occurring compound that helps the skin to retain its natural moisture and stimulates collagen production. Kinetin is a potent antioxidant that can also improve uneven pigmentation. It restores the natural moisture barrier function of the skin to preserve and soften skin without side effects and provides protection for the skin from free radical damage.
  • AHAs (alpha hydroxyl acids) – widely used in the cosmetic industry as they remove the upper layer of the dead skin cells and stimulate the growth of new, healthier cells. As AHAs work as an exfoliating agent they provide a freshening effect on the skin and improve its overall appearance. Commonly used AHAs include: glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid. AHAs also act deep in the dermis and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin fibres that are essential for a healthy-looking skin. You should know that all types of hydroxy acids increase the susceptibility to sun damage and it’s crucial to use sunscreen every day in order to avoid sun damage. Alpha hydroxy acids are found in a variety of skin care products including moisturizers, cleansers, eye cream, sunscreen, and foundations.
  • Coenzyme Q10 – a fat-soluble, vitamin-like substance found in every human cell that neutralizes free radicals (acts as an antioxidant) and reduce wrinkles and fine lines. It prevents sun damage and skin discolorations. Coenzyme Q10 is commonly used in anti-wrinkles serums and creams as it prevents damage to collagen and elastin production process and helps prevent wrinkles and fine lines.
  • Copper peptides – also widely used in anti-aging creams as it stimulates collagen production. Copper peptides also enhance the action of antioxidants and enhance wound healing. Copper peptides are effective against various forms of skin irritation, mainly due to their anti-inflammatory effects. Copper peptides also stimulate elastin formation, cutting down on sagging and fine lines.
  • Vitamin A – a powerful antioxidant that helps diminish the look and the depth of wrinkles. It stimulates skin cell renewal. There are different forms of vitamin A – retinol, retinyl palmitate, retinyl acetene, retinyl linoleate. Lack of vitamin A can cause skin to become dry and hardened.
  • Vitamin C – antioxidant with brightening effect. Vitamin C is a common ingredient in skincare products as well as in makeup products as it makes the skin younger-looking and boosts blood circulation. Vitamin C also keeps skin more elastic and prevents premature aging of the skin. When combined with vitamin E it can reduce the signs of aging – fine lines, wrinkles, brown spots, age spots. Known also as ascorbic acid.

The Top 5 celebrities should have perfume?

There currently exist a glut of celebrity fragrances, with Paris Hilton having four (or eight if you count the men's versions). Britney Spears is on her fourth, and even WAG's like Coleen and Alex Curran are getting on the act./ They tend to fall into the same category- sugary sweet with ridiculously girly packaging (look at Jordan's princess like bottle) and they are really popular as well. There's clearly a market for celeb scents, so why not start releasing fragrances from women I'd actually LIKE to smell like? Here are my suggestions for celebs I'd like to see bottled (in a nice way).

Dita T smell.jpg

Number 1: Dita Von Teese

I can't believe this lady doesn't have a scent yet, it seems like an oversight surely? I imagine it would be heady and musky, with notes of sandalwood and jasmine mixed together in an aromatic concoction that hinted at unearthly delights and delicious naughtiness, with perhaps a sprig of cherry just to add an extra boost.

Reality Comparison: Agent Provacateur, what else?

jennifer-aniston-Perfume.jpg

Number 2: Jennifer Aniston

I imagine any perfume that Jen did would be rather sweet and florally. Perhaps a sprinkling of peonies mixed with a waft of sunflowers with some steely irises for contrast? It would certainly be full bodied and have a lot of depth and anyone wearing it would feel inspired and powerful.

Reality Comparison: Tommy Girl/Hugo Boss Woman

sarah_michelle_gellar.jpg

Number 3: Sarah Michelle Gellar a.k.a Buffy

We've already celebrated Sarah's beauty style here, but we haven't yet addressed just what she'd smell like. Despite the fact that she's all grown up now, any scent she created would have to pay homage to her Buffy roots, so I'd imagine something spicy yet sweet and fresh. Perhaps a mixture of fresh fruits like lemon and lime with a tangy orange mid tone, and base notes of watery aromas like honeydew and sea breezes.

Reality Comparison: Marc Jacobs Daisy, DKNY Be Delicous Night

angelina_jolie_.jpg

Number 4: Angelina Jolie

I know it's a little harsh to have Angelina and Jen in the same column, but they're such different types of women, that they each deserve to be recognized in scent form. Whereas Jen was soft and floral, Angelia will be musky an intense, with almost overpowering topnotes that blend into a solid base. Think chilli flowers, blended with oriental vanilla and healthy lashings of spice, and you'll get the picture.

Reality Comparison: Dior Poison/ Anything from Commes des Garcons

rihanna4.jpg

Number 5: Rihanna

This lovely lady has such a unique personality and great vocal talent that I envisage armies of tweens running out and purchasing this- and some adults as well! It would be a heady mix of aromatic dark chocolate with hints of amber and sandalwood, in a glorious bottle. Throw a little Cinnamon in for added zing and you have Rihanna in a bottle!

Reality Comparison: Issey Miyake/ Angel/ Kenzo Flower

Runner ups:

Madonna and Cherie Blair. Both are strong unique women, but I'm not sure I'd want to smell like them. Then again, you could say the same for Jordan/ Kerry Katona.

Top Ten Make-Up Tips and Advices

1. You can use a highlighter to brighten your makeup. A Highlighter Concealer covers critical areas such as shadows and lines resulting in a natural glow. Apply directly over blusher, mix with blusher, or use just above blusher and around the eyes. Also use under the eyebrows and a touch down the nose. This will significantly brighten the face. After the finish make-up use to cover circles under the eyes, sides of nose, corners of lips and hallows of the chin etc. Blend lightly with your fingertips and brush with powder. The Highlighter can also be applied first, let dry and then apply your normal make-up. For full eyes, use the Highlighter as an eye shadow by applying to the upper end of the eyelid.

------------------------------

2. The most important makeup products that should be used daily are concealer, eyebrow pencil, mascara, and lip color. Concealer will make you look less tired. Eyebrow color will give your eyes more character. Remember, you do raise your brows when you are surprised. Mascara will make your eyes appear larger than they are and more open. Lastly, lipcolor accentuates a lovely smile. Now you´re ready to greet the world.

------------------------------

3. A fresh and natural look in makeup would be wearing a tinted moisturizing cream, a light blush or bronzer for your cheeks, a light coating of mascara and lipgloss. Let your natural beauty show through!

------------------------------

4. Makeup Trick For Red Eyes Try cool cotton compresses with an alcohol free toner. Cucumber slices may be beneficial if you want to try a more natural method. Now for the makeup. Use a minimal amount. Play up your lips instead. Apply a neutral color eyeshadow. If you must wear mascara, opt for a waterproof type, in black or black brown. Skip the colored ones except for navy, which would whiten the whites of your eyes. Try a bright blue pencil below your lower lashes. This should do the trick.

------------------------------

5. "Pretty and sexy" comes from within as well as how you wear your makeup. Wear a minimal amount of makeup, i.e. blush, lipcolor, and mascara. Smile, have a friendly attitude, and you will glow..

------------------------------

6. For someone with copper colored hair, warm earth tones are best. For the eyes wear a bronze or gold eyeshadow with a teak eyeliner. Lipstick in a rust with a gold accent is very pretty.

------------------------------

7. For minor mishaps...Did you smear your mascara? Is your blusher or eyeshadow too dark or the wrong color? For a quick and easy spot removal, use a Q-tip dipped in makeup remover. It´s easy to get into a small area without having to start all over and it works great!

------------------------------

8. Benefits of Loose Powder To get a fresh-faced look with face powder, applying moisturizer then a concealer to lightly cover discoloration. Apply a neutral eye shadow and light coat of mascara. Blend a soft bronzer or neutral blush on your cheeks. Apply a light coat of loose powder. Finish with dewy lip gloss. Loose powder has many benefits compared to heavier pressed powder. Very light, loose powder will not seep into your pores as easily. Loose powder covers more evenly and creates a professional look. Loose powde can be used both day and night. You can apply loose powder several times without it looking caked on.

------------------------------

9. Cosmetics have "gone bad" if they smell funny or if the formula has separated or dried out. Be especially careful with products used near the eyes as this is a sensitive area. If you suddenly react to a product that you have used faithfully, there may be bacteria forming, and therefore you have a reaction.

------------------------------

10. Beauty consultants help customers choose cosmetics and show them how to use them. Beauty consultants should: be good at selling, be helpful, friendly and polite have some artistic ability and a gentle touch for applying make-up and giving and or discuss facials with their clients.

Perfumes for all Seasons - How to Match Your Fragrance to Your Mood Perfumes for all Seasons - How to Match Your Fragrance to Your Mood woman-parfume

Choosing what perfume to wear can be complicated and confusing. Your fragrance can say a lot about who you are- whether you are a shy romantic or the life of the party. Some women choose a signature sense and wear it regularly, no matter what the occasion or season of the year. Other women prefer to have an assortment of choices in their perfume collection and they

choose a particular scent according to their mood, the occasion or just on a whim. There are no hard and fast rules regarding perfumes, but some fragrances are more suitable to particular occasions than others are.

One way to begin the process of choosing a new perfume is to consider the season of the year. Perfumes react to the environment and will behave differently according to the time of year.

Summer Perfumes

• In the hot summer weather, your perfume will evaporate quickly. You can counteract this by choosing a light, airy fragrance and applying it more often. Summertime is perfect for light florals or citrus scents. Stay away from anything too heavy or overpowering in the summertime. Those types of scents are better suited

Winter Wear

• Cold winter air will cause your perfume to react in the opposite manner- it will cling longer and evaporate more slowly. Winter is a perfect time to choose a richer, fuller fragrance. It will develop more slowly and last much longer than the same perfume will when worn on a hot day. Warmer, intimate scents like musk and deep, rich spicy tones are the perfect addition to a winter wardrobe.

Springtime is in the Air

• Spring and autumn are transitional seasons and your perfume should reflect that. In the spring, we are surrounded with reminders of new life bursting forth and perfumes can join in this celebration. Try choosing a light floral or tangy citrus scent to express the joy of this season.

Autumn Aromas

• In the autumn, life begins to settle down and the long, beautiful evenings are a time to reflect and relax. This is the perfect time to begin the transition between the light summer perfumes and the deeper richer aromas of wintertime wear. Perfumes with a light undercurrent of spice or cinnamon are perfect for the fall. You can increase the intensity of the fragrance as the weather turns colder.

Match Your Perfume to the Occasion

You can also match your perfume choice to the occasion. No matter what you are doing, a light scent of a beautiful perfume can enhance the impression you leave with those around you.

In the Office

• For everyday office wear, stick to a sophisticated, yet light scents. Florals and fruity aromas work well, but choose lighter intensities and use a light hand when you apply them. Many people have strong sensitivities and allergies to perfumes and in an office setting; the combination of many different perfumes can lead to headaches or nausea.

Date Night Fragrances

• When it’s time to go out on the town or on that special date, Orientals and woodsy perfumes add an air of mystery and seduction. Speaking of seductive scents, scientists have shown that scents with a base of vanilla, basil or cinnamon have a more seductive draw than heavier musks.

Calming Perfumes

• For those times when you want to relax and stay calm, lavender and vanilla bases bring serenity and tranquility to the forefront of your emotions.

Weddings and Celebrations

• Weddings and other celebratory ceremonies are perfect occasions to wear your favorite florals. Again, however, remember that there will be many women present, all wearing different scents. Go easy on the perfume and reapply a light spritz more often.

Perfumes are a fun way to express yourself and your mood. You can wear your favorites whenever you like, but by considering these tips, you can match your fragrance to the season or the occasion with a little more ease.

Winter SkinCare Tips and products

During the winter the humidity is very low and as a result the skin may easily become dehydrated. The most important thing you should remember and the best Winter SkinCare Tips istock_000001302563xsmall-300x199 body
way to keep your skin soft and smooth during the winter months is to keep your
whole body hydrated.During the winter your skin may change dramatically but it will normalize itself once the cold months and the low humidity are over. Unfortunately many women don’t know how to take care of their skin during the colder months of the year and the results aren’t very pleasant – their skin becomes drier due to the dehydration, more sensitive, the skin loses its elasticity and the signs of aging become more noticeable.

We offer you a few steps you should follow in order to keep your skin healthy-looking, supple and soft during the winter.

1. Your skin still needs moisture
One big misconception is that the thermal sprays and the hydrating creams are only for the summer. If your skin feels too dry and taut during the winter months it simply means that it needs more moisture. So buy hydrating sprays, moisturizing serums and hydrating masks. Avoid using face soaps or lotions containing alcohol as they can make your skin even drier. Even those women with oily skin should cleanse their skin with a cleansing mils or lotions that are alcohol-free during the winter. If your skin becomes hypersensitive during the colder months of the year choose cleansing products with neutral pH.

2. Change your face cream or moisturizer
It’s not true that during the winter your cream or moisturizer have to be heavy and thick. One interesting fact is that during the winter your skin type may change. For example, if your skin is oily it can become normal; the normal skin may become dry and the dry may become hypersensitive, but these changes will last only during the winter months as the humidity, the temperatures change the skin. During the winter the air contains less moisture which can make your skin look dull and dehydrated. Your best choice , no matter your skin type will be a hydrating cream containing vitamins, essential oils and nourishing ingredients – Aloe Vera, Chamomile extract, honey, Olive Oil.
If your skin is oily you can use your usual face cream buy you can add a moisturizing serum or fluid to your skin care routine.
If your skin is dry look for a product containing lipids, fatty acids, essential oils, glycerin or wax.
If your skin becomes reddish due to the cold you should use specially designed products for sensitive skin against redness and broken capillaries.

3. Moisturize your whole body
You should exfoliate your body once a week to remove the dead skin cells and to improve your blood circulation. Moisturize your skin every time after taking a shower. Choose an oilier hydrating body milk or body lotion to hydrate, soften and nourish your skin. If your skin is very dry or sensitive you can use baby oil or a body oil formula to moisturize and nourish your skin deeply. Apply baby oil immediately after the shower, while your skin is still wet to trap the moisture in your skin and apply the oil generously. The winter’s wind is not good for your skin, so make sure your skin is covered – always wear gloves, a hat and a scarf – they will prevent the brutal winter weather from causing excessive dryness.

4. Take care of your hands

It’s essential to moisturize your hands during the cold winter months, especially before you go out. Choose a hand cream that contains vitamins and other nourishing ingredients. Apply the cream at least twice a day to keep your hands soft and well-moisturized. Feel free to apply a little bit of your hydrating face mask to your hands to nourish and moisturize them in deep.

5. Don’t forget to protect your skin from the sun
Using a sunscreen isn’t only for the hot summer months. The winter’s UVA and UVB rays are as harmful as the summer’s. Look for a sunscreen that offers sun protection (SPF 15 or higher) and apply it over your moisturizers or over your face cream to prevent brown spots, redness and skin discolorations. Most of the sun protecting products contain essential oils, cocoa butter, coconut oil, olive oil and Aloe Vera that not only protect the skin from the UV rays but also make the skin smooth and silky.

6. Protect your lips
Chapped lips are something very common during the winter months. The skin on your lips is very delicate and sensitive and becomes dehydrated very easily. An oilier lip balm is the best way to prevent chapped and sore lips. Use a lip balm with moisturizing ingredients, Vaseline or petroleum jelly to keep your lips moist and soft. Another way to prevent chapped lips is to exfoliate them with the aid of a mild exfoliator and a toothbrush in order to remove the dead cells. Nowadays there are lip balms that offer sun protection ( with SPF 15 or higher) which are a great choice both for the summer and the winter months. Wax balms are best for preventing dry, chapped lips.
